CAS Christmas Card showcasing Designs by Shellie, Classic Christmas Traditions paper pad

Hey there, I know its been awhile since my last post, but I have been busy working on a couple of projects for the Semi-Final rounds of audition for the J&S Hobbies and Crafts DT.  I will be posting my entries next week, so keep and eye out for that.

Today, I decided I wanted to do something small, so I made a CAS card.  Shellie’s papers make achieving CAS very simple, this card took me all of 15 minutes start to finish.

To purchase this paper pad or one of Shellie’s other pads, Tranquil Gardens and Beauty in Blues head on over to J&S Hobbies and Crafts, jshobbiesandcrafts.com or if you are lucky enough to be close to Vancouver, WA visit her brick and mortar store at:  7811 NW St Johns Rd, Suite B, Vancouver, WA

Pin Cushion and Stick Pins

Hey everyone, have a quick share for you tonight.  Here is a pin cushion that I constructed from a sour cream contained, that I have weighted down with marbles glued inside, and the sticks pins I created to go with it for my partner in a recent swap on Chic Craftique Facebook Group.  Hope you like what I have created.  Take Care, TeresaIMG_0600[1] IMG_0594[1]

Altered 5×7 Canvas

Hello from cold, damp Oakland, MD.  Just thought i’d pop in and share my recent project.  Taking inspiration from Tricia (she is alittleshabbychic on YouTube), I flipped the canvas around and used the back side as a shadow box.

First I painted it cream acrylic paint, then I adhered a cut out from Designs by Shellie, Tranquil Gardens, paper.  This paper pad is amazing.  You can purchase it as well as her newest pad, Classic Christmas Traditions (it is even more beautiful in person) at J &  S Hobbies and Crafts, the website is:  jshobbiesandcrafts.com. They also have many other paper lines, including Heartfelt Creations & Graphic 45, adhesives, embellishments, dies, inks.  Check them out.

After adhering the cutout, I then put down a layer of purple satin ribbon, then I threaded dark purple and gold ribbon through a crocheted trim and laid that on top of the purple ribbon. I used the extra crocheted trim as a knot on the corner, where I arranged my flower cluster.

The wood embellishments are from SaCrafters LLC (sacrafters.com),  I used: pocket watch, mini fence, small birdhouse on a pole, small house, flourish and sentiment Remember, all of which were painted cream, except the birdhouse on a pole was painted lavender.  I attached a length of chain to the pocket watch and glued to the corned on the opposite side, then attached the other end to a metal key.

I  created 3 bead dangles and attached at various points on the chain as well as a few charms.  I used small rhinestones on the pocket watch and in the windows of the small house.

I had alot of fun playing with the placement of items on this, and was having a hard time knowing when to stop and call it done.  Hope you like what I have created.  Thanks for stopping by.  Take care, stay warm, Teresa

Altered Wood Cabinet

Hiya just stopping by to share my recent project showcasing paper by Shellie Hart-Geigle, Designs by Shellie, “Tranquil Gardens” available at: jshobbiesandcrafts.com.  Be sure to check out her new paper lines as well, she has a Christmas Paper, “Classic Christmas Traditions”  that just became available today and she has another pad due to come out October 15, 2015 called “Beauty in Blue” .  This one is on Pre-Order. Shellies store also has other crafting goodness including: adhesives, tools, embellishments & other paper lines, to name a few.

I have altered a Wood Cabinet that is available from SaCrafters LLC, the exact name of this is: Wood Fancy Doors Box No. 1 and can be found at her website, sacrafters.com, along with tons of other awesome MDF products for altering.  She offers a lot of good storage cabinets, mini albums that are both MDF and chipboard, embellishments of all kinds.  And the best part, is they are USA made, right there in Texas.

The paper flowers are from a facebook group I belong to, Glimpz of Memories, Owner Adele Garcia, she offers many types and sizes of paper flowers at affordable prices, as well as many types of trims.  Her products are offered on a Pre-Order basis, and she has quick shipping.

And finally, the Flat Back Rhinestones are also from a facebook group, Glitz & Glam Girly Boutique, owner, Brittany Paul.

I hope y’all like what I have created this time.  Have great week.  Teresa
